Veterinary Medicine Research

This 210,000 sf complex provides research, teaching, and clinical facilities for the School of Veterinary Medicine. The research facilities consist of two linked buildings that include open, flexible laboratory space with adjoining office/support areas on the upper levels and clinical/research functions, high-bay materials testing and anatomy labs, and vibration-sensitive microscopy labs on the grade level. Instructional spaces include offices, a commons, lecture halls, and seminar and classrooms areas. These buildings incorporate the latest in energy-saving sustainable features, including extensive daylighting and natural ventilation and cooling. The first project at UC Davis to pursue LEED certification, the instructional facility is being submitted for LEED Silver.
