SRG is teaming with HOK to design the new Oregon State Hospital Replacement Project. The dual-site program includes a 620-bed, 636,000 sf facility on a 100-acre site on the existing Oregon State Hospital’s Salem grounds (currently under construction); and a 360-bed, 373,000 sf facility in Junction City. These new facilities will feature spaces for patient housing, counseling and treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, and staff offices. Extensive site studies have been undertaken to address the complex existing site conditions, including archeological surveys of existing historic buildings; identification of present floor plans and mitigation of existing wetlands; and traffic impact and mitigation studies.
