Oregon State University

Forest Ecosystem Research Lab

Richardson Hall houses OSU’s Department of Wood Science and Engineering and the Department of Forest Science. Its U-shaped configuration forms a forestry research complex with adjacent College of Forestry facilities and the USDA’s Forestry Sciences Laboratory. Modern labs, product test areas and a biosafety-level 3 greenhouse enable the University to conduct leading research in forest ecology, climate change, sustainable forestry, and product development. The facility also includes classrooms, a distance learning lab, conference rooms and office space.
