SRG is thrilled to welcome so much new talent to the firm! Please join us in celebrating our newest team members:

Anais Adamska, AIA

She brings unique experience with historic renovations and detailing historic conditions and has collaborated closely with historic board members, landmark commissions, and other stakeholders for these treasured and complex buildings. Projects of note include the Miller Hall Renovation at Western Washington University, a historic renovation for Restoration Hardware in Chicago, and Tesla retail site selection, design and coordination in Europe. She loves how design can revitalize underutilized buildings through thoughtful restoration. Anais earned her Master of Architecture from Washington University in Saint Louis.

Autri Taheri

Autri has been hired in SRG’s Portland studio as a Graphic Designer. Design is a huge part of her life, and she enjoys exploring illustration, typography, and layout to visually tell a story. She’s passionate about using her design skills to build and strengthen brands, especially when her work promotes equality, diversity and unity. Working within a variety of brand guidelines has encouraged her creativity, and her goal with any project and branding opportunity is to guide the design to its best version. Autri earned her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Oregon State University.

Cary Chu

Cary has joined the SRG team as a Designer in the Portland studio. His journey to graduating from the University of Oregon with a Master of Architecture with the pandemic class of 2020 has been anything but ordinary. Previously, his education was focused on life sciences: he has a degree in Animal Biology earned at the University of British Columbia and a degree in Medicine earned in Europe. Throughout all that study however, it was impossible to suppress his passion for architecture. His favorite thing about architecture is how it tells stories, and how it inspires our imaginations. He especially appreciates bold, playful designs that fulfill the needs of its communities and environment.

Halle Jackson, SHRM-CP

Halle has been hired in SRG’s Portland studio as a People & Culture Generalist. She has a strong background in event planning, recruiting, onboarding, and managing all the personnel files and details for her team. She’s enthusiastic about supporting her team at all levels by providing resources and analysis to foster professional development and improve policies and procedures. Her favorite thing about architecture is the variety and unique experiences we can have in the built environment. Halle graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration: HR Management.

Kathryn McFarland

Kathryn has joined the SRG team as the Portland Studio Manager. She brings a strong administrative background coupled with experience in human resources and a passion for driving culture initiatives. Along with spearheading culture committees and DEI efforts, she has extensive experience coordinating highly active calendars, planning events, and working across all departments to unify the workplace. She loves how architecture constantly evolves over time, and she’s fascinated by examining the progression and history of the built environment. She graduated from Oregon State University with degrees in Interior Design, Economics, and a certificate in Human Resources Management.

Lara Guroff, NCIDQ, LEED Green Associate

Lara has joined the SRG team as an Associate Senior Interior Designer in the Portland studio. She brings nearly ten years of experience designing workplace, healthcare, and retail projects. She’s passionate about designing functional and beautiful spaces that push boundaries and expectations while focusing on client and user needs. The relationship between the built environment and the human experience is so important, and she’s helped clients envision new ways to work and collaborate in open offices, revitalize their brands, and stick to budgets and schedules. Lara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art Applications at North Carolina State University and a Master of Arts in Interior Design at The New England School of Art and Design.

Mike Crahan

Mike has been hired in SRG’s Seattle studio as a Senior Accountant. He brings 14 years of experience to the accounting team. He’s passionate about how his role supports the whole firm, because when spreadsheets are reconciled, balanced, and matched, that clear financial data will show strength and resilience. By keeping accounting processes running as efficiently as possible, tough situations can be avoided, and the organization can continue to grow and prosper. Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with a minor in philosophy from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Rich Rapp, AIA

Rich has joined the SRG team as a Senior Associate Specifications Writer in the Portland studio. He brings deep expertise from his past experiences as a Senior Project Manager and Senior Technical Project Architect and Designer on projects including but not limited to hospitals, office towers, museums, convention and event centers, and airports. As a Specifications Writer, he’s maintained templates and standards to guide teams toward balancing aesthetics, cost, and budget by defining and refining performance standards and bases of design across all disciplines throughout design phases. When it comes to architecture, he has trouble imagining a more fascinating undertaking than conceiving, engineering, and detailing structures and spaces that enchant, uplift, support and transport us. Rich earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon as well as a Master of Divinity from Harvard University.
