Pierce McVey
Pierce is a visionary who is passionate about the totality of architecture and committed to bettering the world through architecture. He demonstrates his design leadership by engaging at the intersection of healthcare, higher education, civic, and planning projects while breaking down barriers in between, exemplified by his design leadership on the student health clinic embedded into OSU’s Reser Stadium Westside. With high expectations of himself and those around him, Pierce blends a collaborative process with confident decision making, elevating both his teams and his beautiful and biophilic designs. Pierce serves as the committee chair for the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health Healthcare Design Awards and his work has been recognized by the AIA AAH, Healthcare Design Magazine, and AIA Seattle.
I enjoy designing and practicing architecture that brings joy and delight where you'd least expect to find it. Whether in healthcare, environmental, civic, or educational projects, there can be beauty found through a design process that combines sustainable approaches with rigor, thoughtful detailing, and humble materiality.
