SRG and Walker Macy were part of a multi-disciplinary team that developed a 20-year Master Plan to address unprecedented growth at Oregon State University. The plan included strategies for improving circulation and enhancing the student experience in and around the campus. As part of the implementation strategy the team identified capital projects and site locations that would support the school's historic fabric and address the need for new specialized facilities.

By assessing and diagramming the pedestrian circulation, traffic routes, bike paths and areas in and around the campus where students gathered, the team was able to establish a framework that identified specific districts for development and enhanced connections within the campus and to the local community.
The final Master Plan balanced development of campus facilities with maintaining a pedestrian-oriented campus atmosphere, improving vehicle transportation to and from campus, and addressing how to transition from private vehicles to pedestrian and bicycle circulation on campus.
